Significance of Navratri Puja (9 Forms of Maa Durga)

Navratri which translates to nine (Nava) auspicious nights (Ratri), is the biggest festival of Maa Durga, where 9 forms of Maa Durga are worshipped every night for nine holy nights. The days of Navratri are considered extremely auspicious and all puja done during these days is sure to give fruitful results. Shardiya (Sharada) Navratri starts on the first day of Ashwin month, in the beginning of autumn and continues for nine days. Nine forms of goddess Durga are worshipped during these days.
